Small School, Big Ideas
Long Lake Central School is a PK-12 public school that offers a supportive, engaging, and enriching learning and working environment. Our small class sizes offer students the opportunity to receive individualized instruction in a way that is not possible in a larger school setting. Our students participate in extracurricular activities and athletics and are offered a wide-range of opportunities for travel during their educational experience, with trips to Washington D.C., Boston, New York City, Niagara Falls, and other locations scheduled for various grade levels.
Our professional, diverse, and talented faculty work in dynamic ways to create learning opportunities that mix grade levels, disciplines, and learning styles.
At Long Lake Central School, we are proud of the work we do and we are extremely proud of all that our graduates have accomplished once leaving Long Lake Central School. We are situated in one of the most beautiful landscapes on earth, the Adirondack Park, and are supported by a community who finds great value in a small school education and ensuring that our students and families have a safe place to live, learn, work, and thrive in. Our vision is to be a place that promotes open-minded, hard-working people who are equipped for life.
