The Learning Center
What is the Learning Center?
The Learning Center is a classroom that provides additional support for students to develop certain skills and/or knowledge. We are all unique and we learn in different ways. The goal of The Learning Center is to help students reach their potential and encourage them to apply their knowledge in practical and academic ways. Since instruction delivered is individualized and dependent upon the skills and knowledge of each individual there is not set curriculum.
Course Expectations
1. Come to class prepared and ready to learn i.e., bring all your materials and a positive attitude
2. Be respectful, kind, and responsible
3. To meet personal learning goals and objectives laid out in the students individualized education plan (IEP)
4. To develop skills and knowledge that can be used across not only other curriculum but in life i.e., good study skills and work habits
