Meet the Teacher

Hello, my name is Jaime Bailey-Warren. I am a familiar face around Long Lake Central School, having substituted here for the past 6 years. However, this is my first year in my new role. I'm thankful to the school community and the community at large for welcoming me. I am very excited to be a full-time part of the school community and look forward to a wonderful year full of learning, fun and sports! You will often see me cheering on our Orange athletes at games.

About Mrs. Bailey-Warren:

I was born and raised in Newcomb. I am happily married to an amazing and supportive husband who is nearly as excited as I am about my new job and who is currently pursuing higher education himself. I am a mother to 3 grown young men and an aunt to 2 nieces and 1 nephew. I still reside in Newcomb.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my bachelor's degree from SUNY Empire, where I majored in Cultural Studies.  I am currently working to complete my Master's in Special Education at SUNY Empire. I chose Special Education for a few reasons, I've  been told that I have a calm, patient and special way about me and secondly,  my son was a student that needed an IEP.

In my free time I like to read and write poetry, work in my gardens,  and watch sports. My husband and I share a love of NBA basketball and NFL football. I am also a MLB baseball fan. My favorite teams are the Philadelphia Eagles, Las Vegas Raiders, Boston Celtics, and San Diego Padres. I love to travel!! I've been to over half of the states in the United States.

A few fun facts about me: I don't drink straight coffee but I do like certain brands of cappuccino and tea. I love pretty much anything gingerbread but I don't eat gingerbread because the people and the houses are just so cute! I am the oldest child in my family but my 2 siblings are taller than me (most people say it doesn't take much to be taller than me because I'm only 5'2" lol). I love lighthouses too, in fact I've got lighthouse curtains and border in my kitchen and dining room.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to our classroom page.  Thank you for stopping by! It is difficult to provide many details about what is happening in my classroom due to confidentiality, and the instruction being individualized. I encourage you to reach out to me or School Superintendent, Mr. Snide directly should you have any questions.
